A Question: What is stopping you from realizing your dreams?

All along the mountain and in the valley and in the corners and nooks and crannies and odd little places no one has ever seen, except in passing barefoot while keeping the eye on a future that lurks somewhere around the corner, and in those places were rocks hide small creatures, and in the shaded areas which hold critters great and small, and in those high high tops where Hawk flies, and in the low places where the rodents run, in all those places, here and there on my mountain and in the hollers, there there there.

Good Morning Everyone . . . I just returned from a walk in the cove and snapped a few photos. Hope you enjoy!

My "Blog Tour" has been so much fun - if you want to a host, just email me. . . so far, I've been to Steph's Place, Meri's Place, and Kimmi's Place. Next stop is Gumbo Writer's Place, and then Deb's Place.
I was thinking, while walking through the snow, about our dreams, not the ones while sleeping, but the waking ones--the ones you daydream about . . . or perhaps you are already at work on your dream, or realizing it. What keeps you up at night, thinking and wishing and wanting, but not yet Having?

My question for you today is: What do you think is the biggest obstacle to obtaining your dream . . . or, getting started towards your dream? (and if you want - what is your Dream?)

Great winter pics!

My dream: to script write for radio & television [preferably for the BBC and/or HBO]

My obstacle(s): anything & everything I can think of including lethargy, current occupation, time [or lack thereof]... or maybe it’s the wrong dream, hmmm...

Love the photos. My dream is to be published. I think the biggest obstacle I face is myself. (Well assuming I have the necessary talent of course) It may have something to do with self-confidence - with a healthy dose of procrastination thrown in. I also fear I may be writing in the wrong genre... bleh :)

I think the thing that keeps me from reaching my dreams is myself. I allow myself to focus on only the negative aspects of working towards my goals and never even try sometimes. As far as what they are...to go back and complete school, to find a career that I love, to be of healthy mind and body, to be a mother, to travel, and to be sure that the life I've lived was well lived.

Love your pics especially the one with the cardinal against the snow and black branches.

The thing that keeps me from reaching my goals and fullfilling the dreams I have is a chronic health problem. It limits the time I can dedicate to living the dreams and the energy and physical endurance they require.

My dream, book published. Obstacle-me.

Stay warm.

Great photos, Kathryn. And the biggest obstacle I face everyday is lack of time!

Procrastination and laziness are my biggest obstacles!

Lack of confidence and belief in myself is holding back the dream for me at the moment. My dream? That you might read a book with my name on it one day *grinning*

Mostly the roadblocks are stuff I can't detour around right now...but one day!

LOVE the frozen Lochness Monster and the splash of the redbird.

Happy Mardi Gras, dear friend!

I love especially the third pic -the blue in it is amazing and the last 2 pics with the little red dot of the birds.
Good question about obtaining one's dream...something to ponder about today, this week, this month!

What gorgeous pictures. I'm envious that you have cardinals!

Fear and impatience are my dragons.

Great pics, Kathryn! I think I'm beginning to realize my dreams (of being published!) but I know I'm the only thing standing in the way of achieving those dreams, when I procrastinate...when I allow my inner critic to take over...when I allow other things to get in the way of writing. I bet you understand. ;o)

Nothing stopping me but me!

(How I can live with that thought, I don't know. But I've done so comfortably for most of my life.)

Lovely pictures. My biggest obstacle - my dream is to be published; my obstacle is "how." But I'm working on it.

Gorgeous pics! My biggest obstacle is time, or lack thereof. I know, it's a cop-out, but that's my story and I'm sticking to it!
